Nadia Thomas was called to the bar in 2001. For over 16 years she has worked as Crown Counsel specializing in criminal law at the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Crown Law Office – Criminal. She has appeared at all levels of court, and has conducted numerous appeals in the Ontario Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. Nadia Thomas has also developed an expertise in international legal assistance and extradition, working closely with her federal counterparts at the Department of Justice and at Interpol. From 2013-2016, Nadia Thomas served as Counsel to the Assistant Deputy Attorney General (Criminal Law Division), where she provided legal, policy and communications advice on a wide range of issues. Nadia Thomas also currently serves as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study at the University of Toronto.
